Live golf tournament scoring checklist
Prepare the field, rehearse scoring, and decide what spectators may see before publishing the leaderboard.

Set the scoring responsibility
Choose the layout, tees, format and start time. Decide whether a player, captain or staff member records scores. A scramble and individual stroke-play event require different entry instructions.
Rehearse the whole path
Have a scorer join through the real event path, enter a hole, correct it and verify the leaderboard. Use the device and connection you expect at the course. A successful setup screen does not establish end-to-end scoring reliability.
Decide what is public
Keep private invitations and scorer credentials out of public posts. Review player display names, pairings, documents and sponsors before publishing. Make a reception backup plan and assign someone to reconcile missed entries.
Close out the event
Confirm the field has finished, review missing cards and ties, then publish final results. Decide with the organizer whether the result should remain public. Archiving is not automatic consent to publish a permanent results page.
