Terms of Service
The rules for using GolfDock as a golfer, course/operator, league/event organizer, watch user, customer, or website visitor.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms govern your use of the GolfDock app, website, course/operator tools, GPS and scoring features, social features, leagues/events, Round Discovery, watch/device features, AI Caddy, subscriptions, and support services. By using GolfDock, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them.
2. Account eligibility
GolfDock accounts are intended for users age 13 and older. Users under 13 should not create an account. Round Discovery is limited to users who confirm they are 18 or older. You must provide truthful account and eligibility information, keep access credentials secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to use.
3. Golf software, GPS, scoring, and course data
GolfDock provides golf software, course data, GPS/yardages, scoring, statistics, social tools, leagues/events, watch features, and related services. Course, map, weather, GPS, scorecard, handicap, or other golf information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Golfers remain responsible for course rules, normal golf safety, local rules, pace of play, weather decisions, and their own judgment on the course.
4. Round Discovery
Round Discovery helps golfers find and organize scheduled golf rounds with other eligible GolfDock golfers. GolfDock facilitates introductions between golfers. GolfDock does not guarantee another golfer’s identity, behavior, handicap, compatibility, attendance, or safety and does not perform criminal background checks unless a future product explicitly says otherwise. Use normal judgment when meeting another user and use Round Discovery only for legitimate golf rounds at recognized golf facilities.
5. Round Discovery prohibited uses
Do not use Round Discovery for private-address meetups, lodging, transportation arrangements, harassment, threats, illegal activity, sexual solicitation, discriminatory conduct, impersonation, block or suspension evasion, gambling/wager/payment collection, or other misuse. GolfDock may restrict, suspend, or remove Discovery access for safety or policy violations.
6. Discovery is not a tee-time booking
A Round Discovery post, invitation, acceptance, or group does not by itself create or guarantee a tee-time reservation, payment, or course booking. A reservation exists only when GolfDock or the applicable golf facility explicitly confirms a booking through a booking flow. Social participation and tee-time inventory are separate unless the product clearly identifies a confirmed booking.
7. User content, chat, and social behavior
You are responsible for profile content, messages, scorecards, shared rounds, league/event content, images, reports, and other material you submit. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, nonconsensual intimate, deceptive, spam, or impersonating content. GolfDock may moderate, remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms and the Community Guidelines, protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with law. Users can report and block other users where those controls are available.
8. Priority intimate-content removal
GolfDock provides a public, no-login priority removal process for nonconsensual intimate images/videos and qualifying digitally altered or AI-generated intimate imagery. Use the Content Removal page to identify content and submit the required request information. Do not repeatedly submit the same image for duplicate copies.
9. Leagues, events, courses, and operator accounts
League, event, course, organization, and operator users are responsible for having authority to manage the people, course data, schedules, scoring rules, reports, communications, and other information they submit. Account owners must assign appropriate staff permissions and remove access that is no longer authorized. GolfDock may restrict administrative actions that exceed a user’s assigned role or course/account scope.
10. Subscriptions and purchases
Paid app features may be offered through Apple or another applicable app store. App-store subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled according to the store terms and must generally be managed through the store account used to subscribe. Deleting your GolfDock account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription. Course/business billing may be handled through Stripe or another disclosed processor when those flows are enabled. Prices, billing periods, taxes, setup fees, renewal terms, and included features are shown in the applicable purchase flow or written order.
11. Refunds and failed payments
App-store refund requests are generally handled under the applicable store’s rules. Course/business refund or cancellation terms may be set by the applicable checkout or written order. GolfDock may restrict paid access after failed payments, chargebacks, fraud concerns, expiration, cancellation, or material breach, subject to applicable law and the relevant billing agreement.
12. AI Caddy and automated suggestions
AI Caddy, practice tips, club suggestions, shot analysis, and similar features are informational golf tools. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for a particular shot or situation and do not guarantee performance. Do not enter sensitive personal information into AI prompts. You remain responsible for your decisions and safe play.
13. Acceptable use and platform security
Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with GolfDock, bypass security or rate limits, scrape protected data, misuse APIs, manipulate scores or billing, exploit another user’s account, upload malicious code, or use GolfDock to violate law or another person’s rights. Reverse engineering restrictions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Third-party services
GolfDock relies on third-party providers for infrastructure, databases/authentication, maps/course discovery, app-store purchases, payments, AI, push notifications, email, analytics/performance, and device services. Third-party services may have separate terms and privacy notices. GolfDock is not responsible for services it does not control, but it uses them to deliver the GolfDock functions described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Intellectual property
GolfDock software, website/app design, brand, documentation, workflows, and platform materials are owned by GolfDock or its licensors. Using GolfDock does not transfer ownership to you. You may use the service only as allowed by these Terms and any applicable written agreement.
16. Beta and changing features
Some features may be limited to testing, internal builds, invited users, pilots, or future releases. Beta or preview functions may change, fail, lose test data, or be removed. A test feature is not part of a paid commitment unless GolfDock expressly includes it in the applicable purchase description or written agreement.
17. Service availability and disclaimers
GolfDock works to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate operation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis and GolfDock does not guarantee that course data, GPS, scoring, weather context, watch synchronization, AI output, Discovery participation, or third-party services will always be complete or correct. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
18. Account restriction, termination, and deletion
You may stop using GolfDock at any time. GolfDock may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the platform, enforce these Terms, address nonpayment or fraud, or comply with law. Users can initiate account deletion in the app where available or through the Account Deletion process. Associated data is deleted or de-identified subject to legitimate retention exceptions for security, fraud prevention, financial records, legal compliance, safety enforcement, dispute handling, backups, or competition integrity.
19. Privacy and safety policies
The Privacy Policy explains GolfDock data practices. The Community Guidelines and Safety page explain social and Round Discovery behavior, reporting, blocking, and offline-safety expectations. The Content Removal page provides the priority process for nonconsensual intimate imagery. These policies are incorporated into the GolfDock service rules where applicable.
20. Changes to these Terms
GolfDock may update these Terms as the product, law, or business changes. The updated date will be posted here. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website, or account email when appropriate. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means the updated Terms apply to future use, subject to applicable law.
21. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@golfdock.app. Privacy requests, safety guidance, and priority content-removal requests should use the dedicated public routes linked below so they reach the correct workflow.
