Golf league commissioner checklist
Set the schedule, scoring rules, member list and correction process before inviting players. Repeat a clear setup, scoring and review routine each week.

Before the season
Write down the format, tees, holes, handicap policy, substitutes, missed rounds and tie handling. Pick one source of truth for the roster. Explain which rounds count and when standings become final.
Before each round
Confirm the course layout, date, start arrangement and players. Test the actual join path with someone who has not seen the setup. Keep event-specific links separate from the persistent league invitation when the league accepts new members.
During and after play
Tell players who enters scores and how to report mistakes. A live board can show provisional positions but does not replace review of incomplete or disputed cards. Approve corrections before announcing final results and export records the committee needs.
A four-line weekly handoff
Record round/date, missing or disputed cards, approved changes, and publication status. Example: Week 3 / Thursday; one card missing hole 9; one score corrected after confirmation; standings pending. The next organizer can see what remains to be done.
